CITIZENS UK PODCAST
Everyday People Making Change
Are you fed up with the state of UK Politics? Maybe you're frustrated about issues you think can't be changed? Our podcast is for you.
Join us for each episode and hear stories from neighbours, friends, faith leaders, students, teachers and others across communities who have made monumental change using the tools of Community Organising. From winning millions of pounds in mental health funding, to convincing Nando's to introduce halal food and City Airport to pay all its workers a real Living Wage.
Listen up and let our guests' stories convince you that change is possible when everyday people take action together for the common good.

This series is hosted by Citizens UK's experts in Community Organising and Communications; Jonathan Cox, Dilraj Kaur and Sylvie Pope, and Dr Jason Pandya-Wood from the University of Nottingham, Malaysia. As well as unpacking each story, these episodes explore different theories and maxims related to the craft of Community Organising and equip you with the tools you need to start making change - whether you are an experienced leader or brand new to Citizens UK.
With thanks to Jo Duckles, Acting Public Relations Manager for World Vision UK, former journalist and editor of Citizens UK's Everyday People Making Change podcast.

ARE YOU FEELING FIRED UP?
We hope you're feeling inspired by the stories you've heard on this podcast! Here are three ways you can take action straight away.

Join up!
Help make change in your community by persuading your institution to become a member of Citizens UK. Our local Chapters are made up of an alliance of civil society and community groups - like schools, faith groups, trade unions and more - working together for the common good. Visit our membership page to discover what types of institutions are in membership and how yours can join an alliance today.

Step up!
If your organisation is already in membership then it's time to get involved and lead on an action or campaign! You can get started straight away by talking to the leadership or core team in your institution or by contacting the Community Organiser for your local Chapter directly and organising a 121. We're never not on the look out for new leaders! Visit our Chapter Pages to find relevant contact details.

Skill up!
Whether you're an experienced Citizens UK leader looking to hone your skills, or are completely new to Community Organising, we have training and learning opportunities for all. This includes training put on by your local Chapter, free online webinars and national 3 or 6 day courses with accredited placements in Community Organising. Visit our training pages to find out more.
