Legacy Tour of the Olympic Park: join us

New tower blocks continue to be built next door on the Olympic Park. But who are these homes for? Is this luxury housing for developers to profit or homes for local people? There are 15,000+ jobs coming to the Olympic Park in the next few years, will these go to local people and will people be paid a decent wage? Read more to find out how this action can help us get some clear answers.

We want to see an Olympic Legacy that benefits Newham residents. An Olympic Legacy that provides a Living Wage for those who work on the Park, affordable housing for people who live on the park and jobs for local people.

Come and join us as we go on a tour of the Olympic Park given by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) who manage the Park. This is an opportunity for us to show that we have a stake in their plans, ask questions and call for a legacy that works for everyone.

The more of us who come the easier it will be for us to persuade the LLDC that people across East London want to see an Olympic Park that works for them.

We will march together from here to the LLDC offices where the tour will start, the tour will be a walking one but we want to make it accessible if you have any access needs please email Alistair.rooms@citizensuk.org

To book your place, come along on the day or email Alistair.rooms@citizensuk.org for more information.

1-4pm on the 25th of September - St Francis of Assisi Stratford, Address, 160 Grove Crescent, Stratford, London, E15 18J.
