Communities Stand Together in Solidarity with North London Citizens member synagogue
In a powerful show of unity, 30 representatives from London Citizens, led by North London Citizens, gathered on Friday 17th April 2026 at Finchley Reform Synagogue following a recent antisemitic attack.
Leaders and members from mosques, synagogues, churches, schools, and community groups from across London stood side by side inside the synagogue, holding a banner reading, “You were there for us. Now we are here for you.” Alongside them were daisy chains made by pupils from Hendon School, Islamia Primary School and local community leaders, offered as a symbol of care, friendship, and solidarity.
The gathering, reported in The Guardian, brought together people of different faiths and backgrounds to send a clear message, that antisemitism has no place in London, and that communities will stand together in the face of hate.
No one should have to live in fear of violence or intimidation. We must continue to protect and celebrate the diversity and unity that defines our communities and standing firmly against those who seek to harm and divide us.
Let this serve as a moment for us to come together even more strongly, reaffirming that our city has no place for hate in any form.
