Our new TELCO staff team

In the last year we bid farewell to Yasmin Aktar, Caitlin Harland and Andre Demushi. These colleagues left a lasting legacy of organising and social justice. Learn about their contribution to TELCO and meet our new Organisers!

Yasmin Aktar worked with Tower Hamlets leaders in the early stages of the Hate Crime campaign and also led on pioneering TELCO’s Health campaign. In Hackney, Caitlin helped to pioneer the Energy campaign which continues to grow from strength to strength. In Newham, Andre worked with young people to hold our first ever Borough Youth Assembly highlighting jobs, youth violence, mental health, and hate crime as issues young people care about.

We welcome Phil Warburton, Froi Legaspi, and Ana Franca-Ferreira, back to the Citizens team, and congratulate Alistair Rooms and Afsana Salik who are now both full-time in Newham and Tower Hamlets respectively.
