How to watch Iowa State vs. Baylor: Game time, online live stream, TV coverage

Baylor has Final Four within its grasp, and it isn’t going to let something like bad weather or a linebacker named Jordan Harris get in the way of a national title shot some thought they should have had last season.

The Cyclones might keep it close for a while, providing they can get tailback Mike Warren in gear again after a week of the running game going nowhere. But by the end, it’ll be Baylor by possibly the 37 points Vegas predicts. Maybe more.

Move the chains, and at least Iowa State keeps these guys from hanging the 71 points they scored the last time Iowa State rolled into town. The line blocks better for the rush, anyhow, you know.

“It’s been our area of focus,” said left tackle Jake Campos, who opposes 6-foot-9 defensive end Shawn Oakman. “There’s nothing better than running the ball down the field and winning a game.”

But eventually, quarterback Seth Russell and receiver Corey Coleman will entertain everyone in the stadium, and everyone else watching on ESPN or whatever.

Russell, a better all-around quarterback than what the Bears had in Bryce Petty the past couple seasons, leads the nation with 27 touchdown passes while averaging 317.8 passing yards a game.

“And oh by the way, he ran for 160 yards,” Cyclones coach Paul Rhoads said of Russell’s rushing total a week ago against West Virginia. “He runs better than you’d think. He’ll run you over. He doesn’t concern himself with his health. He’ll drop a shoulder.”

Russell is pitching primarily to Coleman, who leads the world — at least college football — with 16 TD catches. That’s just four fewer than Iowa State’s entire team total. It’s one more than what Kansas has.
