Training in Community Leadership and Organising

We run leadership training course at three levels. Most of our training consists of short workshops and 1 or 2-day Citizens UK Local Taster Trainings delivered in the community. If you are part of a Citizens UK member institution, ask your local Community Organiser for details of Taster Training courses in your area. 

For those who have completed a Local Taster Training we offer Citizens UK Regional Community Leadership Training.  This is a three-day residential or non-residential course, followed by a 50 hour practical placement in your community, and an end-of-placement presentation at a Regional Learning Network event. The Regional Community Leadership Training is run in five regions: the North of England; the Midlands; Wales & the South West; London; and the Southern Ring (around London).

For those who have completed Regional Community Leadership Training we offer Citizens UK National Community Leadership Training. This is a six-day residential course, followed by a 50 hour practical placement in your community, and an end-of-placement presentation at a Regional Learning Network event.  This course is accredited by Newman University as a Professional Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership.

For those who have completed Citizens UK National Community Leadership Training we offer ongoing opportunities for learning and development through Citizens UK Regional Learning Networks which bring experienced leaders together in five hubs for twice-yearly workshops and learning events.   The Regional Learning Networks run in five regions: the North of England; the Midlands; Wales & the South West; London; and the Southern Ring (around London).
