6000 LONDONERS TO DEMAND ACTION FROM ZAC & SADIQ ON HOUSING CRISIS AT THE OLYMPIC PARK

WHAT: London Citizens is holding its fifth London Mayoral Accountability Assembly.

Over 6,000 community leaders and members of London Citizens’ member institutions including churches, synagogues, mosques, trades unions, schools, colleges, universities and local charities from across every borough in London will gather at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park one week before polling day to meet with the two main London Mayoral candidates: Zac Goldsmith (Conservative) and Sadiq Khan (Labour).  

Londoners will be sharing their personal testimonies around their experience of the housing crisis. The organisation’s 350,000 members have highlighted this as their number one concern. They will be asking for action from the candidates on three key issues:

-          Affordability

-          Bad landlords

-          Lack of control over local development and regeneration

WHERE: The Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, E20 3HB. London

WHEN: Thursday, 28 April 2016 from 18:30 to 21:00 (BST)
