Josephine Namusisi-Riley - Senior Project Manager (PACT) Southwark

Josephine joined PACT in May 2017. She is responsible for the strategic and operational running of PACT in Southwark. An experienced manager she brings extensive experience of voluntary sector work including 5 years with the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, 15 years in HIV service provision and seven years at School-Home Support (SHS), a national charity that works in partnership with schools to tackle the underlying issues that affect children’s ability to learn. Josephine is a wife and mother of three teenagers 19, 14 and 13. She is also a Mentor with the Way4Ward project based in Brixton supporting young people in care and serving as Chair of Governors at Corpus Christi Primary School in Brixton Hill where she has been a governor for five years. She is also a free-lance Reflective Practice Supervisor.

Sally Gimson - Project Manager (PACT) National

Sally is responsible for rolling out PACT to different locations: Leeds, North Tyneside and Lewisham. She is a health organiser for Citizens UK, and has been involved as a volunteer in community organising with Citizens UK since 2012. She worked for the Family and Parenting Institute between 2006 and 2010 first as campaigns manager and then as director of communications. She organised a successful campaign to increase the number of health visitor for which she won and Directory of Social Care Award and was involved in setting up the National Parenting Academy.  She was also head of public policy at Victim Support.  From 2011 to 2018 she was a Camden councillor and held the health and adult social care and environment portfolios in the cabinet.

Dayo Odude - Early Intervention Health Visitor

Dayo is the health visitor in our team. She is responsible for overseeing the development of Parent University and training and supporting the PACT parent champions. Prior to working on this project she was based at a clinic in Lambeth where she had a caseload of clients who faced many of the issues that the PACT is trying to support parents with. She wants to work on this project because she has a passion for how health visitors can work collaboratively with communities.

Grace Romero - Parent Organiser

Grace is a parent organiser. She supports the MumSpace groups in Southwark and coordinates Espacio Mama. Grace was an expectant parent in the pilot PACT project and lives in Walworth. She is Ecuadorian and is well aware of the multiple challenges Spanish-speaking parents face. 

Kate Traynor - Parent Organiser

Kate Traynor is our Parent Organiser who coordinates our MumSpace groups. Kate lives in Camberwell and she was one of the parents involved in the pilot project. Prior to this she worked as a family support work and youth worker. As a parent Kate is acutely aware of the importance of social support in a non-judgemental place. 

Wendy McConnell - Parent Organiser

Wendy is our parent organiser in North Tyneside. Before she joined Citizens UK she volunteered at her local primary school helping children with phonics and numeracy along with behaviour development and set up a playgroup for local Mums.  Wendy started her career in retail and was the store manager at Newcastle United Official Club Store. As well as her PACT duties, she still works part time at St Cuthbert’s RC Primary School in North Shields. 

Lindsey Foster - Parent Organiser

Lindsey is our parent organiser in Leeds. She also volunteers as a Parent Champion coordinator for Leeds. Before she worked for the PACT project she was a volunteer family support worker for Home Start where she had responsibility for families with complex needs. For 11 years she worked as an administrative assistant in the education department of Leeds City Council.

Fiona Calder - Parent Organiser

Fiona is our parent organiser in Lewisham. She has experience running the Reap community centres in Downham and is embedded in her local area. She previously worked with care leavers and was the manager of a children's home.
