Citizens UK at the 2018 Greenbelt Festival: Acts of the Imagination!

Citizens UK is taking part in the 2018 Greenbelt Festival: Acts of the Imagination! Greenbelt is a vibrant arts festival which takes place on the August Bank Holiday weekend (25-27 August). It's organised by Christians with an emphasis on social justice and inclusion. See www.greenbelt.org.uk for lots more information on the festival and the programme for the weekend.

I have great memories of attending Greenbelt. For more than five years running in the 1980s and into the 1990s we went as a youth group. I have been back and camped over the weekend as an adult in the last few years. Over the years, I have heard some great musicians and been introduced to the work of writers and poets, and spent many hours learning from these people and others about social justice over drinks and food. So, I am really pleased Citizens UK is there too.

We're taking a team and running some seminars. We'd like to fly the flag for Citizens - recruit a few new members and promote our campaigns. We also have a decent number of half-price tickets and meal vouchers available - in return for a couple of hours in one of our very gorgeous T-Shirts speaking to festival goers at our stall in the exhibition area.

Do contact Richard at: richard.weaver@citizenswales.org.uk to take up this offer. You can join us just for a day or for the whole weekend, but bear in mind that the discount is only available on weekend tickets, and is for adult tickets not youth tickets. If you want a place in the Greenbelt campervan site, you have the option of joining the waiting list (places are already sold out) when booking your tickets.
