Members from TELCO institutions have voted ‘Jobs and Opportunities for Young People’ as their number one priority as 300 delegates from our 65 member institutions met in October.
We know that change only happens when we build enough power to make it happen. We need to build teams who’ll act together to improve the situation we’re in.
In order to build a team of leaders who will work together to develop a strategy, we are now signing people up to be part of our ‘Citizens Jobs’ Network.
The main purposes of the team will be to:
Identify leaders and stories in order to ground our work in real experiences;
Work together to develop a strategy (identify and negotiate with potential employers, etc.);
Develop a leadership programme to make sure that we show how serious we are about improving our communities;
Compile stories and examples of good practice to strengthen our case and engage with employers more easily;
To develop a media strategy and identify allies.
If you’re from a Hackney institution (i.e. a Hackney school/college, church, etc): email Sebastien Chapleau to find out more.
